On October 26, 2002 members of Mercy For Animals held a silent protest against animal abuse in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus outside Cleveland's Gund Arena. Activists distributed information detailing animal cruelty under the big top and aired graphic undercover footage depicting the violent training endured by animals enslaved in the circus.
