David Meadows
Dayton Outreach Coordinator
DavidM@MercyForAnimals.org

David Meadows serves as Mercy For Animals' Dayton Outreach Coordinator, overseeing and coordinating educational exhibits and grassroots outreach events in the greater Dayton area.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Dayton, David is passionate about creative writing, but considers merging creativity with technology to be an important part of his life. His career path has been in Information Technology, serving him as a computer training instructor, help-desk technician and web designer. He has been involved in web design for over 10 years. Now he has the additional goal of furthering his animal advocacy and motivating people to think about the choices they make at the dinner table.

David became a vegan in April of 2009, as part of his journey toward fitness, health and spiritual awakening through yoga. He learned quickly that to become sensitive to the suffering of all other beings is to adopt a vegan diet. In addition to cultivating a more compassionate and peaceful lifestyle, a vegan diet has eliminated David’s need for medication to counteract high levels of triglycerides in his blood.

David is committed to educating consumers on factory farm cruelty and to halting the industry. To that end, as part of the Ohioans for Humane Farms campaign to end some of the worst factory farming abuses in the state, David led the petition-drive in Montgomery County, organizing volunteers and gathering 3,553 signatures – the most signatures of any volunteer in the state of Ohio.
