The Cleveland, Ohio Fox 8 I-Team recently aired an exclusive expose on MFA's undercover investigation at Ohio Fresh Eggs, the state's largest "Animal Care Certified" (ACC) egg factory farm. The in-depth piece depicted the cruel conditions revealed by MFA investigators on primetime television. Reporter Tom Merriman alerted viewers to two rulings by the Better Business Bureau that declared the ACC logo appearing on the vast majority of egg cartons "misleading" to consumers. Viewers saw standard industry abuses, such as:

• Feces-covered hens packed into cages so tightly that they could not spread their wings
• Hens suffering from untreated eye and sinus infections
• Dead corpses left to rot in cages with birds still producing eggs for human consumption
• Hens trapped in the wire of their cages with no access to food or water.
• A live hen, thrown away in a trash can among corpses.

The eye opening story was seen by over 160,000 viewers in the Cleveland area.
