Lauren Jauregui, a member of the group Fifth Harmony, announced on Twitter that she was trying a vegan diet.
Responding to a fan’s question about the singer’s workout routine, Lauren tweeted: “I’ve actually just been eating cleaner. Trying my best to be vegan/plant based.” Lauren admitted to having slip-ups, but veganism isn't about perfection or purity; it's about attempting to live in a way that avoids exploiting or harming animals and takes a stand for a kinder world.
I’ve actually just been eating cleaner. Trying my best to be vegan/plant based (even though I️ do fail sometimes😩) ((I’m Cuban it’s hard af to not eat meat)) https://t.co/7cxjOhy5Yp— Lauren Jauregui (@LaurenJauregui) February 26, 2018
Jauregui joins a long list of celebrities who have decided to ditch meat, dairy, and eggs. Most recently, singers Will.i.am and Jason Derulo, actors Edie Falco and Laverne Cox, and This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown announced they’d switched to a vegan diet.
Eating plant-based foods is a great way to protect your health, the environment, and of course, farmed animals.
From throwing chicks into macerators to tearing baby cows from their mothers, factory farmers routinely abuse animals. What’s worse, this systematic torture is 100 percent legal.
