On November 26, 2002 members of Mercy For Animals dished up a vegan pre-Thanksgiving feast for the homeless of Columbus at Faith Mission shelter for men. The cruelty-free meal included stuffing, baked sweet potatoes, Tofurky, soup, and grandma's homemade vegan pumpkin pie. The event also raised awarness to the suffering and slaughter of the over 40 million turkeys killed anually for Thanksgiving.
