On February 6, 2003 members of Mercy For Animals encouraged Dayton's hungry lunchtime crowd to "Pig Out" on free veggie hot dogs during a vegan feed-in event. Activists distributed tasty meat-less hot dogs and information on the horrors of "modern" pig farming. MFA's Faunette was present, airing graphic footage of pig farmers castrating baby piglets without painkillers and beating sows with iron rods.
